Summer is back and better than ever!

Camp Kroc is bringing the fun back to summer. Right now, it’s hard to be a parent–you want to make sure your child is safe, but you also want them to be able to socialize, make friends, and have fun. At The Kroc Center’s brand new, COVID-safe, engaging camp environment, your child can do both! Parents will feel a sense of relief knowing their camper gets to be a kid again, in the safest place possible.

Type: Day Camp


Week 1: June 13 - June 17

Week 2: June 21 - June 24

Week 3: June 27 - July 1

Week 7: July 25 - July 29


Have your camper attend 4 of 5 days each week, 3 consecutive weeks of camp and become eligible for a family gift card at the end of the summer.

Discovery Camp

at Camp Redwood Glen*

Discovery Camp is a 6-day camp designed for campers between the ages of 8 to 12. They offer a variety of experiences, including swimming, arts and crafts, archery, slingshots, campouts, campfires, hiking, outdoor education, cabin activities, chapel time, devotions, and much more. Through this camp experience campers will have the opportunity to discover the depths of God's love for them and the wonder of His creation.


About Camp Redwood Glen

Camp Redwood Glen is located in the beautiful Redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The camp is situated 9 miles north of Santa Cruz, off Highway 17. Founded in 1946, Camp Redwood Glen shares in the long history of Salvation Army camping, providing a safe environment for campers to escape from everyday pressure and stress, to have fun, learn new skills and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Camp Kroc: Adventure Camp Schedule

Hours of Operation

Early Care: 8:00am - 8:30am

Regular Program: 8:30am - 4:30pm

After Care: 4:30pm - 5:00pm

Meal Times

Meals are provided.

Breakfast: 8:00am - 8:30am

Lunch: 11:45am - 12:30pm

Snack: 4:00pm - 4:30pm

Monday through Thursday

Students will explore the following themes through reading, writing, crafts, experiments, and more with 1-2 small field trips per a week outdoors in the afternoon.

Parent Cafe Time

Monday through Thursday

8:00am - 9:00am AND 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Come grab a cup of coffee, tea, and/or snack before work or after work. Check-in with staff, talk about life, your student, or just relax and have some laughs. We are here for you.

Student Spirit Week & Big Breakfast

Second to Last Week of Summer

We will host a spirit week for our campers.  On that Thursday, we will celebrate our campers with a BIG breakfast filled with traditional favorites.

End of Summer Celebration

Saturday, TBD: 10:00am - 12:00pm

We will celebrate all student achievements and graduations from this summer.

Food provided, all families are invited.

Student/Family Gifts will be given out.

Prizes will be randomly be given out.

Safety is our top priority

Health & wellness is more important to our camp families than ever before. The Kroc Center is committed to providing a fun, active, engaging, and safe camp experience for your child. 

Pick-up & Drop-off

The Drop-Off/Pick-Up process has been updated to maintain social distancing guidelines and includes a morning health assessment.

Socially Distanced

Masks will be worn at all times inside the Kroc Center, with the exception of during meals, while in the pool, and occasionally during socially distanced outdoor activities.

Washing hands

Campers will wash and/or sanitize hands regularly.
